How many people do you know that have had some kind of unexplainable experience? Maybe they are never able to get a good nights rest, sleepwalk or in constant fear of being alone.
You may wonder why I should pick such a topic to discuss. I’ll tell you why. It’s necessary.
There are countless numbers of born again believers who suffer from these things, not to mention the multitude of unsaved people that are enduring these things.
I’m not talking about these things happening in someone’s mind. These things are really happening. But, because we here in the west are sooooo intellectual; well… that nonsense just can’t be real. That stuff only happens on t.v. shows and movies. It doesn’t happen in real life. WRONG….
Let me point out some very important scriptures in the word of God to you.
16. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: Mttw 8:16
28. And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
29. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
30. And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
31. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
32. And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
33. And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every
thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils. Mttw 8:28-33
32. As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
33. And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. Mttw 9:32-33
1. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Mttw 10:1
28. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. Mttw 12:28-29
21. Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Mttw 21:21
I could have pulled out many more scriptures concerning our authority as believers to cast out devils and heal the sick. If it wasn’t real and true why would there be so many scriptures and promises concerning these things? Let’s just start with these for now.
It is my opinion, that often times these scriptures are read by us and we kind of breeze over them. As though, Jesus is the one who did all these things. He did. He said that we were supposed to do these things too. That He gave us power and authority. I believe we’ve dropped the ball in the training department. It’s not that difficult to apply these truths but there are some key points that many of us in the Western world have been missing. The scripture says my people perish for the lack of knowledge. This is an area we need an increase of knowledge in. Jesus has given this authority to EVERY believer. Not just a chosen
few.
I want to share with you a little of my testimony. Then I want to give you some insights that I have learned that will help you apply the word of the Lord to this area of your life.
Growing up in South Florida, I was exposed to many different cultures, religious beliefs and occult expressions.
As a child I used to see things in the spirit. Of course, I didn’t know that’s what it was. My mom, like many moms, would just explain it away. I would have many “de ja vu” experiences. Raised Catholic, I had found inconsistencies in what I was being taught; which caused me to seek out answers by other means. I remember even at a young age we would hold séances and read the Ouji board. These things were considered games and harmless. What a deception!
As I grew up I wandered more into the occult. Not really for evil purposes, more out of curiosity. I wanted to know stuff. I wanted answers to questions. So I kept pressing in. Back then, I had never heard the Gifts of God taught about. Being sensitive to spiritual things was always labeled “psychic”. I never heard the word prophet or prophetic until the 90’s when I got born again.
My curiosity led me into tarot card reading, Greek coffee grind readings, psychic channeling, astral projection, psychic painting

Why am I sharing this with you? Because like me, many individuals have dabbled in these things. Maybe not to the extent in which I was involved, but it was enough to open the doors to demonic activity in your life.
This is a topic that can go very in depth. However, I want to empower individuals with the basic “how to” that we should all be walking in.
First things first. You must be born again. Ask Jesus to be the Lord of you life. The Good News is that you don’t have to be oppressed, sick and demonized. With the Kingdom of Heaven comes deliverance from the works of darkness. Become a citizen of the Kingdom of God. Recognize that you have transgressed or disobeyed the laws of God andask for His forgiveness. Receive the atoning blood of Jesus. Here is a sample of a prayer you could use. “Father God, I recognize that you are God. Please forgive me, a sinner. I accept Jesus as my Lord and King. Teach me how to walk in the fullness of Your Kingdom. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus name. Amen”
Be baptized in water. Baptism is the act of burying your old life and being raised anew in the Kingdom of God. Baptism is a physical act of your commitment to your new King.
You can NEVER get rid of something you have common ground with. That means, if you are trying to get someone delivered of drug addiction and you do drugs it won’t work. You don’t have authority in that area because you have not overcome it in your own life. So don’t even try it. You can’t just run around with name of Jesus, you must have His authority too. God give us authority in the name of Jesus, but first it must be applied and experienced in our own life.
The only way to have Jesus’ authority is to be His. That means, you have made Him the Lord of your life. You have said yes to His ENTIRE word (the Holy Bible) and allow Him to make the word real in your life. REPENT for your involvement in any occult practices. That includes going to a psychic or reading your horoscope or even fortune cookies. (Repent means to turn away from and STOP) Then say out loud, “I shut all demonic gateways and portals I have opened by being involved with these things. In Jesus name.”
Secondly, you MUST be led by the Holy Spirit. God knows the timing in which things need to be done. Whether it is casting demonic presences out of a house or a person.
Stay before the Lord daily.
Let Him keep putting His finger on things in your life that need to go. More of Him, less of you…
Thirdly, you must BELIEVE that you have the authority of Jesus. You must also believe, that Jesus and all His heavenly host will back you up. All of Psalm 91 is good to memorize, here is just a part.
11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Ps 91:11-12
Fourth, you must know what the promises of God are. You cannot enforce something you do not know you’re entitled to.
For instance. How many born again Believer’s are plagued with nightmares and lack of sleep? Yet, there are promises that we have a right to enforce in this area of our life. When the enemy is trespassing in an area of covenant promise, we have the right and the authority to command the promise for our lives. We also can declare Justice and Recompense for his trespass.
Here are some promises for our Sleep.
8. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
2. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2
24. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Prov 3:24
There are BIBLE PROMISES books available to help categorize God’s promises. They are helpful reference books that can be found in most Christian bookstores or online.
So how would I apply this information to my life? Like this.
Prayer for your sleep.
Satan, I bind you from my sleep, dreams and visions. I thank you Father for peaceful, restful, undisturbed, uninterrupted, refreshing, sweet sleep. I apply the blood of Jesus over my mind and my family and my animals and everything and everyone having to do with me. In Jesus name. Amen
**Very important. We must not have Satan’s stuff in our home…
Do an inventory. Let the Holy Spirit show you if you are not sure. Some things you can just pray over. Apply the blood of Jesus and command all unclean things to go. Other things you must destroy and dispose of. You cannot give those objects away, you must destroy them!
This should be done over EVERTHING that comes into your house. Why?
OBJECTS: When a individual is operating in a demonic spirit and creating an object whether it be art, jewelry, books, painting, furniture, music, movies, antiques, clothing….you name it. They will release the spirit that they are operating in, into the object, thereby giving it a home. When you bring the object into your house, you bring the demon in with it. Giving it legal right to operate and influence your surroundings.
Please don’t forget your children’s toys! Where do you think the idea comes from to create those little demon toys to start with? Demons looking for a house to occupy.
Many times people overlook clothing bought from second hand stores or passed on to you from a friend or family member. Lay hands on these clothes. Apply the blood of Jesus and command all unclean things to go. Make this a routine.
Many times, we suffer sickness in our body or diabolic attacks because of what we are wearing or what is in our house. Satan’s people know what they are doing. They are doing it with the intent to harm YOU. They release all kinds of curses into objects. Crystals and jewelry. Is a stone or crystal in and of it’s self evil. No, of course not. But just like any object. Things can be release into it. For good or evil. Lay hands on EVERYTHING and release the blood of Jesus over it. Get your anointing oil out and anoint it with oil too, if you feel led. We are told
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God. To the pulling down and destruction of strongholds.
3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6. And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. II Cor 2:10 3-6
What are some of these strong holds? The way we have been thinking and perceiving things around us.
How can we revenge all disobedience? Who’s disobedience are we revenging?
Ours and Satan’s. Here is what I mean. When we are not walking in the fullness that God has called us to walk in; whether it be from ignorance or willfully transgressing the law of God, we open up all kinds of doors in the spirit for the enemy to operate in our life. When we get our spirit, soul and body in line with the will and purpose of God we begin to move in obedience. Obedience is an action motivated by faith
in the word of God. We act because we Believe. It’s at this point we can revenge disobedience of the trespass of Satan in our lives and our family. We can call for the Justice of God. He will avenge us. For vengeance is the Lord’s.
What should you do next?
Take your anointing oil and anoint every door and window in your house. As you do this apply the Blood of Jesus. Command all unclean things to go out of your house and off your property never to return in Jesus name. Remember as a child of God, You DO have the authority to do this. The demonic spirits MUST leave. Thank the Lord Jesus. Give Him Praise.
Another important object to anoint is your television. Decree that it will not be a portal for the enemy to move through and release stuff into your house. With all things you must use discretion in what you watch. Don’t quench the Holy Spirit of God. If you’re not feeling right about watching something, don’t. Our eyes and our ears are windows and portals to our soul. Everything you let in will effect you. Believe me, don’t be deceived. You can’t handle it. It is effecting you, whether you notice it our not. Don't forget the computer screen and your radio.
NEVER NEVER NEVER leave the television, radio or computer on all night while you sleep. You have no idea what is being released in your soul. Use Wisdom.
If you are not confident or unsure about stepping out. Ask a fellow Believer to stand with you. I do want to reassure you, as a Believer you can take authority in these areas of your life. It might feel a little scary, just rely on Jesus. The enemy will try to release fear to get you to stop. Ask God to infuse you with His faith. The Blood of Jesus never fails. Greater is He that is in You than he that is in the world.
4. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I John 4:4
Please remember. This is just a small teaching on the subject. I would encourage you to dig into the word of God and find His promises for your life. You are empowered by the Word of God that is in your heart. If you don't know it you can't apply it. Then once you know it, do it. Do not be afraid to step out. The word of God is for every Believer. You don't have to sit in a pew for years before you can do something. The word is a NOW word, and it is for every Believer to use NOW. Don't let someone tell you, you can't. God says You CAN!

SHOTGUN PRAYER
I bind, break and destroy every assignment, curse, hex, vex, witchcraft, voodoo, encantation, spell, sourcery, plot, diabolic assignment and ambushment of the enemy. I condemn every tongue that has risen against me in judgement and will show it to be in the wrong. I break the power of diabolic word nets, diabolic and unholy alliances. I decree I will fulfill all that God has called me to in health, peace and prosperity in the fullness oflength of days ordained for me. In Jesus Mighty Name! Amen.
I bind, break and destroy every assignment, curse, hex, vex, witchcraft, voodoo, encantation, spell, sourcery, plot, diabolic assignment and ambushment of the enemy. I condemn every tongue that has risen against me in judgement and will show it to be in the wrong. I break the power of diabolic word nets, diabolic and unholy alliances. I decree I will fulfill all that God has called me to in health, peace and prosperity in the fullness oflength of days ordained for me. In Jesus Mighty Name! Amen.
